I was watching Christmas in Connecticut the other day (love that movie) and remembered how amazingly sparkly the Christmas tree was.  I was reminded again when I read this post by Liebemarlene Vintage about 1920s Christmases.  While I certainly enjoy a paired down, more modern and natural Christmas tree (so much less clean up afterwards!), there’s something to be said about going completely over the top.  I mean, it’s Christmas!  And isn’t tinsel great?!  I always begged to put some on the tree when I was little but was never allowed to since we had pets.  Do they even make tinsel anymore?  Well, anyway, I hope all of you have a very Merry Christmas full of lots of sparkle and as much tinsel as you can find!!
