Yesterday Andy, his brother Steve, and I visited Brookgreen Gardens, which is a beautiful botanical and sculpture garden a few miles from where we’re staying in South Carolina. It had started pouring on our way to lunch, but by the time we finished eating, the sun was out and we rushed to the garden, where we had a couple hours of perfect (warmer!) weather to wander around all the ancient, moss-covered oak trees. We had so much fun.
This guy is my favorite!
If you’re ever in the Myrtle Beach area, be sure to visit the gardens. It’s a beautiful, quiet escape from the hustle and bustle, and I’d recommend stopping at nearby Bistro 217 for lunch, where the tomato, crab, jalepeno soup is a-maaaz-ing!
