I brought my lemon tree inside for good yesterday. I’ve been taking him outside in the morning and bringing him in at night, but I think it’s gotten cool enough that he’ll be staying inside from now on. Boo. But at least the little lemons are getting so big!
And some Friday randomness…
— Can you believe there was a time when girls wanted champagne without bubbles?! You have to see this. (via Erica Weiner)
— We had dinner at Eddie Cerino’s Casual Italian in Lakewood last night (what used to be Eddie & Eddie’s), and I think it’s going be added to our normal dinner rotation list. Easy, yummy and inexpensive — the perfect mix for those days when you don’t want to cook but you don’t want anything fancy.
— This weekend we’re heading to Detroit for Halloween craziness, aka Theatre Bizarre, the Greatest Masquerade on Earth. Expect costume pictures next week. Here’s a good article about Theatre Bizarre from Hour Detroit magazine. I’m sure it will be epic.
And finally…
Way back in about 2009 I decided to try to read the 100 Novels That Everyone Should Read, according to the Telegraph, and I wrote a blog about it. I got through the first 10 and then my life got really complicated really fast — I started dating Andy, my dad died, I bought a house, all in a 6 month period, and I pretty much didn’t read anything at all for a very long time. Now that I’m only ONE WEEK (eeeek!!!) away from being a housewife I was thinking I might start this project up again. It’s pretty fun, and I enjoy making myself read things that I would never want to read otherwise. I’ll probably post my reviews here on Burritos & Bubbly every once in a while, just for fun. I may also repost the reviews I wrote back then.
Have a great weekend, everyone!!
