We’ve been thinking a lot about travel lately. Actually, we’re writing this from a train between Toronto and Ottawa! We’re tentatively planning a trip to Europe this fall, and Andy is getting pretty obsessed with collecting air miles. He’s all about points all the time! But it has us thinking a lot about where we want to go. We thought for this edition of his/hers it will be fun to answer the question, “where would you go if you could go anywhere?” Oh, there’s so many possibilities!!
KERRY
There’s about a million places I want to go and add a new place to my list every week, but I’ve always wanted to go to Istanbul. I want to go to the Grand Bazaar and dig through piles of dusty old rugs to find the perfect one, and I would love to see the Hagia Sophia. I love the history of Istanbul and the fact that it represents the place where western and eastern cultures meet. I think it sounds like it would be a trip of a lifetime and I hope I get to see it someday!
ANDY
This is a hard one for me. I have a lot of places I want to go but sometimes I think they are too boring and easy. I want to go to Alaska to see where Kerry is from. I want to go to Dublin and luckily I think we are doing that later this year. But if I could go anywhere, I’ve become fascinated with going to Fiji. Fiji is mentioned a lot on the travel blogs I read because if you stop there on the way to Australia you don’t have to use as many frequent flyer miles. I used to be a big city kind of traveller, but lately my ideal vacation involves sitting on a beach while drinking something tropical. I honestly don’t know much of anything about Fiji but it sounds like the perfect place to do that.
Now your turn: leave a comment and let us know where you would want to go if you could go anywhere!
Haha, this is funny, because I want to go to Ireland and my husband wants to go to Istanbul!
Of course, we just had a baby so that kind of travel is out, so you should do both :)
