A “clean slate” in the laundry room

I’ve been finding myself thinking a lot about what to do in our new pantry/laundry/mud room, which is such a clean slate right now. I’m really excited to shop for laundry soap… said no one ever. I mean, that stuff is boring. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been buying the same plastic tub of detergent and using the same beat up laundry baskets for years and don’t really put much thought into it. But the other day I discovered Crate & Barrel’s Clean Slate collection of laundry, cleaning and storage supplies that focus on “utility made beautiful.” I love it! I’m such a sucker for good packaging, so this is right up my alley. There’s no reason practical things can’t be pretty, too, especially when they don’t cost an arm and a leg. Here’s some of my favorites.

Some of these adorable — yet totally practical! — things are definitely going to make their way into our house. I especially love those yellow wire bins.

  1. Well this is perfect timing! New cabinets were installed this weekend in our laundry room — which I think means new storage items are necessary :) Thanks for the awesome find!
