Happy Friday, guys. I’ve got another little baby update for you, if you’re interested!
WEEK: 17 // baby girl is the size of a turnip!
FEELING: Good! I feel totally normal until about 9 p.m. every night when I start to feel like there’s a 15-pound bowling ball in my tummy. (Um, the baby only weighs about 5 ounces.)
DOING: Registry planning! My friends are throwing me a baby shower in October, so that means we need to get going on our registry earlier than planned. Last weekend Andy and I went to Stroller Mama in Pepper Pike, Ohio, where we tried out strollers and car seats… without having to step into a big box baby store (my hell on earth). The best resource of all, though, is all my mom friends who have been amazing with their advice and product suggestions. It’s made a world of difference and I’m actually starting to get kind of excited about registering.
EATING: waffles. So many waffles! Every morning I get hungry around 10 a.m., and the only thing I want is toaster waffles with a little bit of syrup. Yum yum yum.
CRAVING: soft-serve ice cream… of all things. I haven’t had what I’d consider terrible cravings, in general, but earlier this week I decided I really, really wanted chocolate soft-serve in a cone. It’s probably been almost 10 years since I last had soft-serve ice cream! So we put Ruby in the car and drove to DQ. It was everything I wanted it to be… and now I don’t need to go back for a while. :)
WEARING: The same Gap maternity t-shirt dress every day (the one you saw in Wednesday’s family photo). At this point I’m still wearing mostly my old clothes and only have a couple of maternity pieces, but I’ve been really happy with Gap’s maternity clothes, especially their jeans.
MISSING: having a wardrobe that consisted of more than about five things.
LOVING: sitting on the back porch with Ruby. Ok, this isn’t really pregnancy related, but we’ve had such beautiful weather lately that I’ve been loving spending time everyday on the back porch reading while Ruby naps next to me.
