Dream House 7: Candy Colors in The Netherlands

I’m completely and utterly obsessed with the Dutch blog Zilverblauw and everything about the author’s candy-colored home. Full of pink, baby blue and pops of bright neons with a whole lot of white to balance it all, this home is lighthearted, quirky and oh-so-much fun, especially for a family with young kids. Those Dutch never seem to shy away from decorating with color and I LOVE it!

So check out this amazing home where color is everything, and I very highly recommend following the Zilverblauw Instagram and blog for so much more!

I loved the white wood floors we painted in the old house. If it weren’t such a huge pain, I’d totally do it in our new house, too.

The neon knobs on this cabinet along with the painted furniture against the white walls and floor are perfect.

The tile in the dining room and kitchen are a great contrast to the otherwise all-white floors.

I *NEED* a marquee like this! I’ve been scouring the internet for one with very little luck. Any ideas??

What do you think of this home and all the colors? I think the pink striped wallpaper behind the woodstove, the baby blue tile backsplash in the kitchen, and of course that pink Smeg fridge are phenomenal. I like how the rooms are minimal but not stark. There’s just enough “stuff” to keep the spaces interesting, but the spotlight is definitely on color instead of a bunch of knickknacks and things covering every surface. Keeping things clean and clear allows your eye to take it all in without being overwhelmed.
