Wow it’s been a long time since I’ve done a Casual Friday post, but it’s always fun to share some of the things that have caught my attention lately and ramble about what’s going on in our lives. I’m SO GOOD at rambling, you guys… just ask Andy when he’s trying to concentrate on, well, anything ever. Ha.
You may have seen on Instagram that our house painting started this week, YAY! Of course there’s been some drama, because one thing you have to know is that with any renovation project there WILL be drama, something WILL go wrong, something that has never happened before WILL happen, and it WILL happen to us. It’s a long story for another time, but it looks like it’s going to have a happy ending, phew. As you can see, they’ve only done the brick and garage door so far, but we are loving the bright white. I couldn’t be happier to see that green garage door gone!!
Also, BIG NEWS, we had an ultrasound this week and baby is measuring over a week ahead of schedule at 8.8 pounds, meaning he’s a big, BIG boy. Too big actually. I’m only 5’2″ (and 3/4″ thank you very much), sooooo that means he needs to come early at 39 weeks! Induction is being scheduled for next week, and we’re actually VERY happy about that. I am someone who needs a plan, so it’s nice to be able to organize our lives with a little more certainty … as long as baby decides to follow our plan!
In the meantime, I’ve also been super busy creating maternity-leave content for my day job at the CLE Bridal Book. If you like weddings and pretty things, you will LOVE what we have coming up in the next few weeks, so definitely follow along over there too!
This weekend we’re going to the Summer Market in Avon Lake, and I’m pretty excited. Andy isn’t, but he’s being dragged along because I’m too pregnant to say no to!
Have you bought anything at the Nordstrom sale? I had to have this fall jacket with pink fur … I mean, PINK FUR!!!
I didn’t buy it , but how utterly adorable is this pirate toy and rattle for the new baby!? (Not on sale, but still.)
The other day I went nuts pinning this beach house designed by Chango & Co. via Becki Owens. I love all the neutrals and natural textures for the beach, but the blue and white bunk room is my favorite. Sigh, when are we going to win the lottery? Owning a beach house/vacation property someday is our dream.
And one last thing: Tiramisu Brownie Ice Cream Sandwiches. Back up and think about that for a second… Tiramisu. Brownie. Ice Cream Sandwiches. Also Nutella. OMG. I neeeeed these. Someone bring them to the hospital next week, k? (Also next Wednesday is National Ice Cream Sandwich Day, so these are very timely.)
So expect blog posts to be a bit sporadic for a while, though we do have some fun things lined up already, and of course there will be a baby update ASAP. Be sure to sign up for email updates to make sure you don’t miss anything!!
