You’re invited to our wedding!
Our theme was “vintage country modern industrial” with a bit of a Muppets-inspired twist. Say what? Well, the most important thing to both of us was to have a wedding that felt like both of us as individuals and who we are as a couple. We figured Andy’s style is a little modern/industrial and Kerry’s is a little vintage/country, so let’s do them both. Plus, we just really love “Life’s a Happy Song” from The Muppets movie and thought it was perfect for us! With the help of our amazing wedding planner, Valarie Kirkbride Falvey, a lot of help from some super talented friends, and soooo much DIY-ing, we were able to pull off the perfect day.
We made most of our decor ourselves — tons of burlap bunting, tons of signs, tons of painting. Andy even made two flavors of ice cream that were a huge hit, and that we used to do a “first scoop” instead of cutting a cake. The antique wood ladders that we used for our ceremony altar are original to our house, and they were perfect.
Here’s a few pictures! All photos by rad photographer.
